Woodstock, NH entrepreneur imports olive oil from family olive groves in Greece

For many years, Woodstock NH residents Takis Hinaris and his wife (originally from Greece) received a gift of olive oil made from olives grown on the Hinaris family’s land in Messenia in south Greece.

One year, to manage the large quantities they received from their family, they started giving the olive oil to friends in small bottles, who were amazed by the unique taste of it. Their friends encouraged them to import more and sell this amazing product.  By the end of 2011, Hinaris had founded the Woodstock-based company known as The Olive Table, and by mid-2012 she was selling their first product, a private estate oil from the family groves near the town of Kyparissia in Messenia, GreeceThis year, they sold private estate and early harvest oils, a total of more than 800 gallons, and plan to import more next year.
